Yes, Rense, I've just checked the scanner. I was scanning at 300 dpi instead of 3,000 dpi. Problem solved! You can all go back to bed :D

Have you checked the negatives? Couldn't it be a scanning problem?
I can imagine.... No idea what can be wrong though, don't know the Hexar (personally).
