Durham holds a unique place as the birthplace of Lumiere, the UK's largest light festival. This year is the fifth Durham Lumiere, which takes place every two years, and has light sculptures, projections and light and sound installations from artists around the world.

What an amazing event, that must be quite something to see. Fine set of images, I particularly like the trees lit up.

Thanks Dave, some of the stuff was fantastic, not just visual but sounds too.
It's the first time I've been because I'm not a fan of busy crowded places and the parking is a nightmare but I'm really pleased I got there this year.

Great set of images, Glen. Love the second flame shot the first of the moon. Those trees are amazing too.
