Dan mentioned this project HERE and the Edinburgh walk was today. I had a wonderful time visiting the Royal Observatory and Astronomy Research Centre in Edinburgh. We got access to the research labs, the old telescope, and the incredible library, with its first editions of Galileo, Halley and Newton, among many others.

I've created a Flickr Album as there are far too many images to post here. But here are a few to whet your appetite...

Great set Rob. I really like "Pressure." I think I would never have thought to grab that fotie, but you've grabbed it in very fine style indeed!

Super set Rob (still waiting for the main event to open for some reason). I especially like the blurred photographer and Light Experiment.

The fork in the pan is another favourite. A very productive event.

Don't know what you mean by "main event", Pete.

For some reason, I was the only photographer interested in the fork in the pan. It's sheer poetry - why wouldn't you want to photograph it?

I think it is his end. A few pages have been very slow to update. I make a point to try and never to be good! ;)

Excellent Set Rob giving a great insight to this place and the work done.

Pete Flickr has had a few sticky moments for myself , think there is still upgrading going on.
