That is a fine old door. Works well as an image too, I like the lines and tones.

Okay, so we are all invited to contribute our doors? I'll get to it.

Love the tones and textures of this shot, Pete. Rusting metal work and weathered wood - what's not to like?

Well, after a quick scout around the house with the Sigma SD Quattro and its 110mm macro lens...numbers 1, 2 and 3:

This is the other side of the second door from the other thread.
I suppose you could call it The Doors B-Side...

And here is one I took a couple of weeks ago...

Caton Moor Wind Farm - I have a slightly tenuous connection with this place via work.

Some damn fine entries so far. Keep 'em coming! :)

Do you wear that tie, Rob?!

It's a pinnie - what's the more usual name? I can't remember. The thing you wear when cooking...

An apron. Is the skull a reference to your culinary skills by any chance?! ;)

Yes, an apron. We call them pinnies, as I said. Either word is weird...

From Pinafore I think, isn't it? Same as down here.

Must be. HMS Apron just isn't the same.

Chris, I do like the contrast between old and modern, two very different doors!

Oh now I like that, Dave. Very ethereal. :)

Nice one, Dave. Are you a Hobbit? And your comments lead me to wondering what on earth you do in there one day a week. None of my business, of course!

    Thank you guys.
Well, since you asked: I mowed a lawn, did some weeding and had morning coffee with the vicar.
