Open University Course Week 3

by Rob MacKillop on 15-05-12 at 05:42 PM
Lots of discussion of motion this week, and different camera settings to achieve that, as well as different lighting effects. I must admit that it got too mathematical for me at times, but they did say ''You don't need to know this bit..'' so I will go back later when my brain hasn't so many other things to worry about.

This first week seems to consist of two parts - a very general discussion of what makes

Beginner's Blog

by Rob MacKillop on 03-03-12 at 09:09 PM
Seems only KK does any blogging round here...I'd like to see more. So here goes...

Sorry to start my blog with a disappointment, but I just picked up a developed film from Jessops, and the results were not good. It is the first film for which I used a zoom lens, given to me by a music student of mine. It was a nice gesture by him, but the images are poor in comparison to my previous images with this camera, a Pentax K1000. Either I don't know how to use a zoom lens ( very likely!)
