Saw this and its colour version on Flickr. The b&w is definitely the better of the two. 1950s, or modern retro? Makes for a great image.
Thanks Rob - so you're stalking me online eh! Think this one is a genuine restored classic - the new one's don't have the same fit and finish to them, although they're still very nice. Getting this sone to that degree of polish/shine must have cost a few grand at least, or a lot of someone's spare time. It's now a 1 seat barbers shop - very cool idea - might have to drop by and get a trim
Beautiful!! And you are correct, the new ones are nowhere near as well made, especially the interiors.
Thanks Steve - I went to see about borrowing a new one for a shoot, but decided against it - the magic isn't there, and they wanted $250 for 4 hrs!!
That is a great image, so many things to see. The modern plastic chair sticks out between the classic trailer and wooden building.
Not only a fantastic, and iconic, 'trailer', but the contrast between its gorgeous curves and the angular building works very well. Oh, and get that hair cut sonny!
