They do look like shark teeth. I do like cacti, I can respect a plant that knows how to defend itself.
After watching David Attenborough's latest, Green Planet (I think that is what it is called), I see all plants as mindful killers! They definitely appear to have a brain and a consciousness, which calls into question my vegetarianism! Is there nothing I can eat??!!
I like this Rob. The jaunty angle is great and really suits the aspect of the plant. Both your and Dave's comments remind me of something I once read just before my first visit to Arizona: That the place doesn't really have plants, but it does have 'outdoor cutlery'.
You could become a fruitarian, who only eat foods that can be harvested without killing the parent plant, but that is getting extreme.
