[/IMG] This was taken this morning (7.30) whilst I was being mobbed by an angry gull. They have been nesting on the chimney stack in the picture. It's not as crisp as it could be, but I was in danger of being injured, aside from being pooed on! SONY NEX-5 -1/250, f6.3, ISO 400
"YAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH" bloody shits with wings ... I used to live in a flat in the centre of worcester (in the midlands - some 100 miles from the coast) we used to have about 30 of the buggers nesting on our roof ... not a day would go past throughout 9-10 months of the year that i wouldnt get woken up in the morning by "YAAA YAAA YAAA YAAA" I HATE SEAGULLS Cool shot though, despite the softness, its actually very effective!
Yes. Can you make the clouds darker using the red channel etc? Sort of out of a stormy sky look. What do you think?
I think this is a great shot, theres so many options on how to PP this it's just a great shot to work with. Vic
Ah good a Sony user. RAW is the way to go, it's the best format to work. I don't use the Sony software. I used to but found the PS ACR is much better, although the Sony software may have improve a lot I've have become used to ACR now it's just a shot you can play around with. B&W would be the way to go or a very desaturated. As Pete said converting to B&W using a red filter will darken the sky alot. I tend to use the sliders in the B&W options box and pick the colours I wish to darken/lighten. I don't think the softness is a problem and in fact adds a little to it. Vic
