This is Soda Lake Road at the southern entrance to the Carrizo Plain, near Maricopa, California.

Soda Lake? How American. And the sun pointing to a big pot of gold. Fine shot, Brian. It gets the imagination going…

:D It is very American sounding Rob, but the "soda" referred to hear is not of the pop variety, instead Soda Lake (which is dry) is named so because of its texture, which resembles baking soda. Thanks Rob.

The terrain just screams for B&W processing. Nicely done.

That is a good one! It does feel very arid and hot, the tiny clouds on the horizon maybe hinting at water in the far distance.

Thanks Dave. Not so sure about the water in the distance behind the hills, but maybe so.

A gorgeous shot, Brian and one of those rare occasions that the ghost of the aperture adds to the overall.
